1st International IGFC Adria Race - Automotodrom Grobnik-Rijeka/Croatia, 23.–25. 5. 2014

This year the Automotodrom Grobnik-Rijeka for the first time hosted an IGFC-race for historic bikes (www.igfc.at).

Bernhard Zojer entered on his LAVERDA 1200: "The first practice went well, at least for four laps and then my red Diva started to cough, knocking me back to 6th place. During qualifying unfortunately she turned into a twin taking me further back to 15th place. At least I was able to win the regularity in the sprit-race which otherwise I mostly watched from the end of the field. Unfortunately however there was no trophy for that. In the main race I hat a good start and was able to lap the only other LAVERDA competitor Horst Gassner on his somewhat sickly 750. All in all it was a funny and successful weekend: My Carinthian friends Hannes and Walter came for a visit and almost all my race-buddies were able to take home a trophy. We really had a ball! Now my red Diva is looking forward to a DMC ignition and a carefully routed wiring loom."
