Andi Varga
LAVERDA 750 SF3
LAVERDA 750 S Formula

The moment he bought his first LAVERDA in 1976, an SFC-converted 750 SF3, Andi was done. His life was dedicated by the LAVERDA he was riding. And he rode them with passion.

Be it a 1000 3CL, 1000 Jota, 1200, 1200 SC, 1000 RGS, 1000 SFC, 600 Atlas, 650 Sport or his beautiful SF3 – first modified to SFC, then into a naked bike – all the LAVERDAS he owned were lavishly tuned and improved. He thus changed into a desired guest in the upper Italian town of Breganze. He was constantly in and out through the doors of the LAVERDA factory, as well as at the shops of Giuseppe Andrighetto, Riccardo Oro, Centrosport and Chicco, and soon enough he was considered part of the family. Legendary are the curses coming out of Chicco's workshop, when he once more had Andi's 1200 on the bike lift: "Bloody Sulzbacher, bloody Sulzbacher ... !“ you could hear through the whole backyard workshop.

During this time there was no LAVERDA event without Andi. He was present at the first racing appearance of Walter Prünner on the Österreichring as well as at the Milan Show or at the anniversary meeting in 1997 in Breganze.

After several years with other Italian marques and inspired by the 750 SF of his son Erich, Andi has come back to his roots. He was able to buy back his 750 SF3 from a collector. And, just by chance, he found a cheap 750 S Formula. We are waiting with bated breath how long she will remain original when with Andi...
