Stefan's passion for classic motorcycles was sparked at the age of 18 when a friend appeared at his doorstep on his Italian Diva. Sound, the cool looks and the charm of the machine immediately enthused him and his research in magazines and the Internet soon led him to the LAVERDA marque. Not only the bikes but also the history made a big impression on him.

"I had heard that there was a specialist for LAVERDAs in Upper Austria - Wolfgang Huber. He had numerous cool bikes in his garage amongst which there was a 750 SF and I was immediately hooked. After a test ride I was convinced that this bike with her power, the precise chassis, the sporty riding position and the hellish sound was exactly right for me.
However, just after I had told Wolfgang I'd take the bike, I had a serious accident on my other motorbike. Still, my passion for biking and in particular for the LAVERDA SF were unbroken. After my recovery I bought my dream-bike - the dark-green LAVERDA 750 SF1 had waited for me!"

Stefan's 750 had been improted from Italy into Germany in 1993, serviced and fitted with an electronic Moto Witt ignition. Hannes Micheler brought her to Carinthia where she received her paperwork in 2010. In 2011 she was for sale at Wolfgang Huber.

"I have fitted my SF with a sporty Tomaselli handlebar and smaller indicators and have painted the duck-tail. Given she was in mint condition, technically as well as optically I haven't had any repairs so far. As for the minor problems with the electrics, all I can say: I always carry a multimeter, a screwdriver and needle-nose-pliers" :-)
